Deck painting
Almost done- some sanding & touch ups left. Befores on the left, afters on the right!
Long great productive weekend of fun, family, & house work. I even got the entire front and side bottom half painted ALONE! Sierra replaced the trim in some yucky spots.
His fathers day gifts consisted of a golf club, a grill, a 28 foot ladder, and a hard working family! My dad raked our hay where we replaced the fence and reseeded and mom painted the fence rail ( I did 2 coats of primer yesterday on them- this deck had not been tended to or cared for ever).

Prudence
We had a very sweet (and big!) snapping turtle in our yard last week. I kept trying to "shoo" her back to the river, but she kept walking around the yard insistent she be there. I went up to sit on the deck and observe, and she continued to walk towards me. Very slowly, making eye contact with me. Right in the middle of our yard, she stopped and dug a hole and laid eggs right there! I got her a plate of lettuce, carrots, and raisins and placed it right by her mouth (she was gentile and tired from her long walk and egg laying). Nia named her prudence. She was quite sweet.
