Exterior "before" photos with tree
We have removed part of the fence in anticipation of the removal of this horrible tree. Here's the before photo. The crane truck is on its way up from georgia to remove it. Yes-- it's THAT big

Yard word
We had the steps placed yesterday. They still need some minor tweaking but are already a big improvement!
We started with the real yard work. We are having the entire yard leveled and graded, loam brought in, grass planted and crushed stone around the perimeter of the home.
As I type this- I glanced over to sierras computer--- and he is looking at real estate websites. He is always looking at comparables in our town to see "what we could get for this".

Front steps
We had plain brick front steps but they did nothing for the curb appeal and did not go with the style we are looking for.
This was a major project to take down. The bricks were stuck to a concrete form that was connected (and poured in place) to the house. Si has been working hard in the evenings to get all the brick steps apart. Yesterday Sierra and Pete had to rent a jack hammer to get the concrete off.
Today, Sierra is pouring a larger concrete slab, as the steps will be larger than the existing steps. He dug a huge trench all the way around for proper drainage.
I'm lucky to have such a handy and hard working hubs. One day at a time. :)
The new steps will be granite!

Woo-inspiration
If you know Nia- you know what "woo" is. She affectionately calls any type of bubbly water "woo" (after the feeling she first got when she was expecting water and drank the bubbles...)
Her favorite (and mine) is pellegrino.
I'm noticing my colors in the house- similar to the bottles!

Breezeway
When you enter the side door to the house, you enter into a little breezeway/mudroomthat divides the garage and the house. The back has a slider that opens onto the deck.
Still to do: fix seal on the slider, replace slider knob. Tile the floor and step, replace the entire front wall, frame it out, for a more secure and weather right room. There will be new windows and a real door.
