Dining room before and "progress"

Every room in this house has work to be done- some more than others. The home will evolve with us, but I can't spend every waking hour painting/fixing/tweaking/cleaning/organizing.

It is around the table that friends understand best, the warmth of being together.

We spend lots of time at home depot...less than a mile from our house. I made some returns on Sunday, and had a list of things to purchase. Look how close I was!

I have been looking and looking for the perfect shower curtain. And I found it.... Here.

I change my mind with the wind, do $75 on a shower curtain was too steep.

So on to the next idea.

I bought 5 yards of this chevron fabric. And my super-mom made it for me. We will bring it to the alteration shop today to get the grommets put in and voila!

We still have a but of work ahead of us.

*the bull pine in the front yard needs to come down
*some interior paint/touch ups
*hang doorknobs and kitchen cabinet knobs and pulls
*finish both bathrooms (sinks/toilets/shower fixtures)
*water line for dish washer and fridge
ice maker
*propane line for fireplace and kitchen range (bill already set the tank!)
*trim out front door

Then comes the breezeway/garage-exterior work. Lots and lots of it.

Oh ya- then the basement!

Nia has been throwing up every day since Thursday night. Fun fun

Lots to be done w/ this door of course,,, but here's the inspiration and my progress.

Overwhelmed

This weekend was the big push to get as much done as possible because we can't go in the house till Thursday as the floors will all be refinished this week.

We have an enormity of things to do. Nia is throwing up again (she was up sick all night Thursday/Friday throwing up) now threw up again tonight (Sunday) and Sierra cut himself so deeply with a razor blade above his knee it has drastically affected his quad muscle???? The slice is small but hit just the right spot. Who knows.

New front door today. Sink went in, upstairs vanity went in- repairs shingles on breezeway, upstairs toilet being installed and downstairs one leaving for floors to be done completely on that bathroom. Bob the painter comes and paints from like 6pm to 5 am or something crazy like that.
